The Wharf’s new $3.6 billion development is celebrating its public opening today – turning a previously low-key fish market into one of the poshest spots in the city.

There will be 20 new tenants, including a luxury apartment building, three new parks, The Atlantic’s new headquarters, and tons of new eateries. Most of this will be opening over the next few months and into 2023.

Here are a few highlights (find the full list of restaurant openings below):

Bar Pendry – A moody cocktail bar inside the Pendry Hotel, the space reminds me of Astoria DC and Denson's Liquor Bar.

New parks
– There will be three new parks as well as a mile-long waterfront walk from the fish market to Ft. McNair.

Limani
The first location out of New York for this Greek-Mediterranean restaurant offering a seafood-focused menu.

Phillipe by Phillipe Chow
– The celebrity chef is beginning his world-renowned Beijing-style dishes to D.C. This posh restaurant specializes in Peking duck with all the fixings.

Blank Street Coffee
– A very tiny, very sweet coffee shop that prides itself on affordability.
